Expect a lively ceilidh combining the community aspect of a village barn dance with the excitement of an urban night out - inclusive & friendly with a lively and contemporary feel.

With a pop-up bar serving local real ale (& other options) and wood-fired pizza van onsite, expect the best of a village barn dance in urban South Manchester. With Birch Community centre bordering Rusholme, Fallowfield & Levenshulme, expect a diverse and fun-loving group of Mancunians in attendance!

DIDSBURY Midsummer Theme Ceilidh - Friday 26th June

THEME: midsummer / midsommar

Levy Folk Collective comes to a great Didsbury ceilidh venue - St Catherine's Community Centre - offering plenty of space to allow for some new dances and a selection of local ales (& more) from the community bar to keep people moving. Expect our usual upbeat and vibrant ceilidh, providing a great night out for novices and ceilidh pros alike. 

CEILIDH THEME: Midsummer / Midsommar - think flowers / pagan / white / the horror film version (?!), dressing up is optional but the band will definitely be doing it! Looking forward to a fun one, see you there.

1. MATINEE Summer Festival Ceilidh (family-friendly) @ The Klondyke's Ale Festival, 25/07

Saturday 25th July

Afternoon ceilidh sets: 2:30-4pm
Access to ceilidh space: 2:00pm
(Festival runs from 12-midnight)

We are excited to provide this family-friendly summer outdoor ceilidh event @ The Klondyke, Levenshulme as part of their newly-launched community summer ale festival! From 2:30-4pm, Levy Folk Collective will provide family-friendly dance sets with their usual inclusive and friendly ceilidh style, featuring masses of outside dance space, hay bails and plenty of real ale options nearby as part of the festival. 

Expect the best components of a village barn dance / country fayre - all are welcome, with dances adapted to accommodate children and families (although the event also welcomes all ages). 


Priced to remain family-friendly @ £7.50 for adults (16+) and £2.50 for children (1-15), this ticketed event runs as part of the Klondyke’s free entry summer & ale festival, which features 20+ types of real ale, 20+ types of gin, food vans, party bus, activities for children & more (12 noon - midnight, more details coming direct from them soon). 

EVENING CEILIDH: n.b. for those after an adult-only upbeat ceilidh experience (potentially a few pints of real ale later!) we recommend booking onto our evening ceilidh taking part on the same day (see next event on this page).

2. EVENING Summer Festival Ceilidh @ The Klondyke's Ale Festival, 25/07

Expect the energy to ramp up for this evening ceilidh (18s & over) at the Klondyke’s Summer Ale Festival, where we return for the first time since the stunning NYE ceilidh party. With ceilidh sets running from 7:30 through to 10pm, we will be providing our usual upbeat and energetic ceilidh to get you moving in the events space, with short breaks to ensure you can keep sampling the different ales outside and partake of the festival also. 

This ticketed event will run alongside the Klondyke’s newly-launched free entry summer & ale festival, which features 20+ types of real ale, 20+ types of gin, food vans & more (12 noon - midnight, more details coming soon). Get the best of both events by purchasing your ceilidh ticket in advance, with the ceilidh very likely to sell-out. 

Note, this ceilidh night is 18s and over - for families wanting to bring children check out the matinee option instead (see above event on this page).
