Expect lively ceilidhs combining the community aspect of a village barn dance with the excitement of an urban night out - inclusive & friendly with a lively and contemporary feel. Never been to a ceilidh before? No prior experience needed, you will soon be converted.

Children's Folk Music & Ceilidh Workshop
(see next event for adult ceilidh night on the same day)
Saturday 17th October
@ Birch Community Centre, nr. Fallowfield
Doors open: 1:45pm
Workshops: 2:30-4pm
Inspire your children through the arts with our afternoon music and ceilidh workshop featuring live performance, dance, showcasing of instruments, opportunities to meet the band and a variety of workshop activitities. This event will focus on giving children (ages 8-16) an opportunity to see live music first hand and develop their interest in folk music and dance. Sessions will be led by band members who are qualified teachers, with sessions tailored to the different interests and ages.
We will ensure all children feel welcomed and able to benefit from this afternoon event, with our suggested age range of 8-16 years old allowing us to tailor the session accordingly. Running from 2:30-4pm at the excellent Birch Community Centre, there will be a break with refreshments provided.
Note: all under 18s (either individually or as part of a larger group) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Doors open: 6:45pm Ceilidh sets: 7:30pm-10pm
All aboard for our autumn Ceilidh Night on Saturday 17th October, 7:30pm - 10pm, at the first-rate Birch Community Centre near Fallowfield, Manchester. Expect our usual upbeat ceilidh sets with a nautical theme. Pirate costumes encouraged for attendees - kilts are out and breeches are in!
With ceilidh tunes and dances from across the traditions, alongside original Levy Folk Collective numbers, expect an energetic and swashbuckling night out. Doors @ 6:45, with three ceilidh sets between 7:30pm-10pm. Early booking recommended.
N.B. we are running a matinee workshop in the afternoon aimed at young people, see event above for more details.
