Meet the band

Founded in 2025 by Richard (guitar) and Charlotte (violin), two friends with 20+ years of ceilidh experience, Levy Folk Collective is now a hugely popular ceilidh band for public ceilidhs and private bookings.

We provide an upbeat, fun and inclusive atmosphere from a group of friends who love live music and dance, and who will probably be having as much fun as you are at the event! 

We choose dances & music from across different folk traditions, aiming to bring together the best of different folk traditions and tunes - see for yourself below what we offer, and we hope to see you at a future ceilidh.

Experience

Having performed at ceilidhs and other events across the UK and Europe, we know what makes for a good night (or day!). This includes performing in bands, ensembles & orchestras at professional levels. 

Friendship

As a group of friends ourselves we bring this vibe with us to your event. We are there to have fun too as we love live music! Ceilidhs are meant to be sociable, relaxed and a chance to let loose and we will always aim to facilitate this mood.

Flexibility

From barn dances to bar mitzvahs, we are adaptable and can make sure we tailor our ceilidh to fit your event. From ensuring dances are inclusive and adapted to incorporating three generations, we look forward to each event for being different.
