Meet the band

Founded in mid-2025 by Richard (guitar) and Charlotte (violin), two old friends with over 20 years of ceilidh experience across different bands, Levy Folk Collective is now a highly successful and sought-after ceilidh band playing sold-out public ceilidhs and private events.

Drawing on our collective of talented musicians, we can provide different line-ups to suit different events, but at our core you can always expect an upbeat, fun and inclusive atmosphere from a group of friends who love live music and will be having as much fun as you are!

Head on down the page for some footage and shots of us performing live to give you a better idea.

Making ceilidhs lively

What makes us stand out from other ceilidh bands?

Experience

Having performed at ceilidhs and other events across the UK and Europe, we know what makes for a good night (or day!). This includes performing in bands, ensembles & orchestras at professional levels.

Friendship

As a group of friends ourselves we bring this vibe with us to your event. We are there to have fun too as we love live music! Ceilidhs are meant to be sociable, relaxed and a chance to let loose and we will always aim to facilitate this mood.

Flexibility

From barn dances to bar mitzvahs, we are adaptable and can make sure we tailor our ceilidh to fit your event. From ensuring dances are inclusive and adapted to incorporating three generations, we look forward to each event for being different.

Professionalism

With backgrounds in a range of careers alongside music, you will find us professional and clear to work with both when booking and on the day.
